Who is helping give out half a million free books across America on April 23rd?

We are!

World Book Night U.S. is an ambitious campaign to give thousands of free, specially printed paperbacks to light or nonreaders across America on one day. Volunteer book lovers help promote reading by going out into their communities and sharing free copies of books they love. The mission of World Book Night is to seek out those without the means or access to printed books.

Children's Halloween Party

The Children’s Department at Rodman Public Library will be hosting a Children’s Halloween Party on Saturday, October 27, from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Lots of fun activities, games and stories will be set up throughout the Children’s Department and auditorium. Children will also collect treats to take home.

No reservations are required and the program is open to children ages 3-12 with an adult. Halloween costumes are optional but encouraged. For more information, call the Children’s Department at 330-821-2665, ext. 224.

Children and teens who have taken part in the "Summer Art Experience at Rodman Library" will display their art pieces at a gala exhibition. Family and friends are invited to attend. Refreshments will be served. Funding for the art classes provided by the Stark Community Foundation, Alliance Quota Club, Rodman Friends of the Library and Synergy Alliance. Funding for refreshments provided by the Rodman Friends of the Library. (jm)
