Learn how to design print materials with this desktop publishing application. The program can be used to make signs, brochures, newsletters and more.

Prior experience with Windows and Microsoft Word (any version) is preferred.                                     

Email Basics

The basics of reading and sending emails as well as how to attach and open attached files will be explained using a free email account from Google. This class is especially suited to those who do not currently have an email account and are interested in creating one.

Attendance at Internet Basics or prior experience with using the Internet is preferred.

Word Basics & Editing

Become familiar with Word through an overview of this program and its functions. Learn the basics of word processing, how to copy and paste, cut and paste, insert date, time and page numbers, plus how to format a document and use templates.

Attendance at Windows Basics or prior experience with Windows is preferred.

 

Electronic Borrowing

Follow along as a library staff member walks you through the electronic borrowing search and download process. Borrowing eBooks through Overdrive or the new Axis 360 collection and magazines using Zinio will be demonstrated. Be sure to bring your library card and eReader with you. Patrons with Kindle devices should bring their Amazon sign-in ID and password.
