Five seniors from the University of Mount Union will be presenting their culminating projects for their class, "Modern Heroes: Nobel Prizes and Other Academic Awards." The presentations will be 12 minutes long about the specific award, one selected awardee's work and its impact on society. The students are under the direction of Prof. Keith Miller. 3-31-16 pas
Teens, ages 12-18, are invited for an afternoon of crafts, snacks, and fun as we celebrate Star Wars fandom in Rodman Main Auditorium on Wednesday, May 4, from 3 to 5 p.m. Create “May the 4th Be With You” cards or a “Star Wars crayon Death Star”. Make a Chewbacca bookmark and a Star Wars popsicle stick ornament. The final craft of the day will be turning pretzel rods into light sabers by dipping pretzels into liquid chocolate and adding embellishments. While the crafting is happening, the movie Star Wars: Episode IV will also be playing.
Join us on Thursday, July 14, from 3 to 5 p.m. for a “Mystery Theater” but without the murder. A pretend crime is committed by one of the acting participants — teens ages 12-18. It will be the teens’ jobs to sort out the clues and decide by the end of the program “who done it”. Costumes and props will be used to bring the theater alive. Teens are encouraged to come dressed for their part or to bring their costumes with them. Food will also be served as with any mystery theater.

Join us on Thursday, June 16, from 3:00-5:00 p.m., in Rodman’s Main Auditorium for an exciting afternoon of Library Olympics as we play a series of different library-themed events. The Library Olympics opens with all teens creating their own country flag to represent them in the games then teens proceed to Event One: Relay Race. In this event, teens are divided into groups of three and compete by navigating an obstacle course while steering a half-full book cart.
