You may bring your own blanket or previously made cardboard box car.

Opening of Walborn Reservoir Photo Display

Witness the beauty of the four seasons at Walborn Reservoir captured by Alliance photographer Brian Snyder in his opening program and photography display on Monday, Jan. 11, at 7 p.m. The program takes place in the Rodman Auditorium where he will discuss his work and be open for questions. The four-year project culminated in a three month exhibition of his breathtaking pictures in the fall of 2014 at Stark Park’s Exploration Gateway.

Children's Author Todd Parr visit

Todd ParrTodd Parr, noted children’s author of books for young children, will be speaking at the Rodman Public Library on Wednesday, November 18 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the main library auditorium. He loves interacting with kids! During his presentation, Parr talks about being an author/illustrator, reads from four to five of his books (he has written more than 40), plays a game, does original sketches on an easel and conducts a Q&A with the kids and adults. At the end of his session in the auditorium, Parr will move to the Children’s Program Room, where he will be available to sign copies of his books. Six of his titles are currently available to purchase at 50% off the retail cost in the main library Children’s Department and will also be available to purchase at the event, including his most recent book, The Goodbye Book, just released November 3. Through the lens of a pet fish who has lost his companion, Todd Parr tells a moving and wholly accessible story about saying goodbye. Touching upon the host of emotions children experience, he reminds readers that it's okay not to know all the answers, and that someone will always be there to support them.
