Largely Literary Theater Company co-founders Sara Showman and Mark Dawidziak will present a spirited program of ghost stories at the Rodman Public Library main auditorium on Tuesday, Oct 22, at 6:30 p.m. The two-part Ghosts By the Tale presentation opens with Showman telling a romantic ghost tale and a not-so-romantic ghost tale – two looks at relationships from a supernatural point of view. Dawidziak, the company’s artistic director, then will shift the spooky mood a bit with personal stories about spirits connected to Akron-area locations.
The Canton Regional Chapter of SCORE and Stark Community Foundation are partnering to offer a workshop for Alliance area non-profit groups, both startups and existing organizations. The workshop will be held Tuesday, May 14, from 1:00-3:30 p.m. at Rodman Public Library in Alliance at 215 East Broadway. The workshop's purpose is to help non-profits create and sustain success in a difficult economic environment. Attendance will be limited to the first 30 registrants. Rodman Library is throwing a special celebration to commemorate this year’s Shark Week. This event is for teens, ages 12-18, and will take place on Tuesday, August 20, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. in Rodman’s Main Auditorium.
Geocaching is the process of locating objects using GPS coordinates. You can do this from your own app-enabled device with a free downloadable app. Local geocaching enthusiast, Jim Perone, will be at Rodman Library on Tues., July 9, at 3:00 p.m. to explain just what geocaching is and how it works. After his brief demonstration, teens, ages 12-18, will be paired up and let loose until 5:00 p.m. to use their own mobile devices to locate hidden objects or “caches” on the library grounds. Prizes will be awarded to the top pair finishers.
On Thursday, May 23, from 3:00-5:00 p.m., Rodman Public Library will host ‘Crazy Crafts’ for teens, ages 12-18. Crafting materials will be supplied for the teens, along with some instruction on how to create their own crafty projects. D.J., Rodman’s teen librarian, will demonstrate how to build cube crafts, projects from duct tape, perler fuse beads and much more.

Teens, 12-18, are invited to Rodman Public Library Main Auditorium on Thursday, May 9, from 3:00-5:00 p.m., to participate in the Naruto Shippuden Generations Tournament that will begin promptly at 3:30 p.m. Doors will open at 3:00 p.m. Participants are welcome to arrive early to practice before the start of the tournament.
