Teens, for intense one-on-one, head-to-head competition, join us on Thursday, Jan. 16, from 3:00-5:00 p.m., in Rodman’s Main Auditorium for an exciting afternoon with Madden 25 that will be played on an Xbox gaming system with the game setting on Pro. The tournament will consist of single elimination, three minute quarters and random teams, excluding All-Star teams and Throwbacks. Prizes will be awarded to the top two finalists.
A knitting class for beginners is hosted at Rodman Library from 1 to 3 p.m. in the main auditorium. Taught by Jane Graham, a member of the KnitWits Needlework Circle, the classes continue on Tuesdays, Nov. 11 and 18. There will be no class on November 4 due to Election Day. Participants are learning how to knit a “potato chip” scarf (a scarf with ruffles). Those attending need to bring size 9 knitting needles (straight) and two skeins of yarn in their choice of color.
Teens, ages 12-18, gather your friends and come to Rodman Public Library on Tuesday, January 21, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. The library is hosting a day of vintage gaming in the main auditorium. Ever wanted to play the role of landlord? How about diving into a fantasy world where dragons, secret agents and dinosaurs battle for supremacy, or maybe challenge your friends to a series of 60 second whacky events? There is room for card players as well. Simply bring your most powerful card and duel it out with your friends. All of this is going on at Rodman Library.
