To celebrate the new release of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Rodman Main Library invites area teens, ages 12-18, to join us on Thursday, Nov. 21, from 3 to 5 p.m., for an afternoon party of games, trivia, and tests of your survival know-how. Prizes will be awarded. The original Hunger Game movie will also be playing on RPL’s big screen. Will the odds be in your favor? All of this is going on at your library. No reservations are needed. Just in time for the holidays. Join us and Hot Pots in Rodman Main Auditorium, Thursday, Dec. 19, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., to create your one-of-a-kind mug for holiday gift giving. Hot Pots will give each participant a mug that can be personally decorated. Funky fibers or electric string to wind around the mug, tools, underglaze and other embellishments will be provided. The mugs will then be fired at Hot Pots and available for pick up on Dec. 23. Plan on attending this free, fun event. This program is open to all teens, ages 12-18, and no registration is needed.

Teens, ages 12-18, fire up your creativity and join D.J., Teen Librarian, in Rodman main auditorium as he demonstrates three craft projects using fall’s brilliant colored leaves. The program takes place on Thursday, Oct. 24, from 3 to 5 p.m.
Medicare Specialist, Terri Gursky of Mercy Medical Center, will discuss Medicare information to help seniors with any questions or concerns they have regarding Medicare and Medicare options and then open it up for any questions/concerns/additional information.

Most people know about the Affordable Health Care Act or have at least heard about it but they have not heard much about the premium nor the tax credit to help low to moderate tax payers to pay the premium. This workshop will begin with an overview of the Health Insurance Premium Tax Credit, what it is, how it works followed by a question and answer period.(jmh)
