Anime Club

All teens, ages 13-18, are invited to Rodman Public Library on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 3:00-5:30 p.m. Teens will have the chance to pick their favorite episodes to be shown on RPL’s big screen. Anime Club will meet in the library's main auditorium located at 215 East Broadway Street in Alliance, OH. No registration is required. For more information, call 330-821-2665, ext. 214.

Chip Richter Concert

Chip RichterJoin us on Wednesday, June 15, at 6:30 p.m. in the Main Auditorium as singer-songwriter Chip Richter serves up stories, songs, and smiles “Family Style”. Chip’s concerts feature something on the menu for everyone. It’s a recipe for “more fun than a kid should be allowed to have” as Chip delivers healthy portions of love and laughter for all ages to enjoy!

Gardening for Wildlife

Creating a backyard filled with wildlife can be easy. Lynette Reiner, Science Director at the McKinley Presidential Library and Museum, will be talking about what plants will attract butterflies and birds to your backyard on Monday, June 13, from 7 to 8 p.m., in Rodman Main Auditorium. Reiner graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, with a master’s degree in Zoology, and from the University of Akron with a double major of Comprehensive Social Studies and Interdisciplinary Anthropology.

Chef Stephan Baity-Healthy Cooking

Chef Stephan BaityChef Stephan Baity returns! You have seen him on the “Cake Wars: Christmas” when he and his team won the grand prize for the cake-decorating challenges. Baity, resident director of AVI Food Systems at the University of Mount Union, will present a program on Healthy Cooking at Rodman Library on Monday, June 27, at 7 p.m., in the main auditorium.

Ready, Set, Polka!

Join us after hours at the library for this special event as part of the 2016 Summer Reading Program.  Mike Schneider will bring the happy sounds of his "Pint Size Polkas" from Wisconsin to Alliance, giving attendees a chance to test their fitness with a multitude of dance opportunities as well as tackle "name that tune" and trivia based on the summer reading theme: On Your Mark, Get Set...READ! Best suited for children in grades K-5 and their families. (entered 5-9-16 jm)
