The Children’s Department at Rodman Public Library will be hosting a Children’s Halloween Party on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 2:00-3:30 p.m. This event will include Halloween games, stories, riddles, music, dancing, treats... and more. Be sure to bring your camera to take a picture of your little ones in front of our harvest fest backdrop.
Children ages 8 years and up are invited to join "Mr. James" as he dazzles his audience creating cool and colorful experiments using common household items. They can then recreate the experiments themselves. Prepare to be "slimed" or harness the power of "twister in a bottle" - just to mention a few possibilities. Weather permitting, some larger experiments will be attempted outside. This program will be held in the Main Library Auditorium from 2:00-3:00 p.m.
Join us and the Ohio Researchers of Banded Spirits (ORBS), on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 1:00-3:00 p.m., as they present a program on the paranormal. ORBS, one of Ohio’s top paranormal teams, will be discussing everything about their paranormal research such as how they started, equipment they use in the field, places in Ohio that are haunted, the different spirits they have encountered and how to conduct your own investigation. Along with their discussion they will also show pictures, video and audio as evidence of their ghostly findings.
As part of our 2014 Fogle Author Series funded by the Greater Alliance Foundation, Rodman Public Library is proud to present Thrity Umrigar who will speak at Rodman Library on Saturday, Nov. 15, at 2:00 p.m. in the main auditorium.
