Wee Read, a program offered through the Children’s Department, is designed to introduce children to books, fingerplays and music incorporating the six early learning skills. Patrons, ages birth through two years, and their parents or caregivers are invited to Wee Read, Monday evenings at the main library, from 6:30-7:00 p.m. and Wednesday mornings at the main and branch libraries, from 10:30-11:00 a.m. Sessions last 20-30 minutes. One Book One Community Event

This One Book One Community program is a hands-on event to encourage and learn the creative process that goes into making a graphic novel.  Area art teachers will be on hand to help participants who will receive several prompts from which to choose.  A story will be "told" in approximately eight cells.  This program complements this year's OBOC selection, "Lisa's Story" by Tom Batiuk.
