Poetry Workshop

University of Mount Union English Society members will be conducting a Poetry Workshop in the Children’s Program Room of the main library on Saturday, January 23, from 2 to 3 p.m. The English Society members will share the poetry of Shel Silverstein and Dr. Seuss with the children who will then take part in a series of fun prewriting activities to give them a basic understanding of the language of poetry and its construction.

Lego Splash!

Children can use their imagination and build with Legos at Rodman Public Library when the Children’s Department hosts Lego Splash! The program takes place on the second Saturday of the month from  2:00-3:00 p.m., in the Children’s Program Room. We provide the Lego and Duplo bricks, you provide the creations!  The program is open to children of all ages. No registration is required. For more information, or if you would like to donate Lego or Duplo bricks to the library for these programs, stop by or call the Children’s Department at 330-821-2665, ext. 223.

Trick or Treat at the Library

The Children’s Department at Rodman Public Library will be hosting a Children’s Halloween Party on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 2:00-3:30 p.m. This event will include Halloween games, stories, riddles, music, dancing, treats... and more. Be sure to bring your camera to take a picture of your little ones in front of our harvest fest backdrop. The program is open to children ages 3-12 accompanied by an adult. Halloween costumes are optional but encouraged. No reservations are required. For more information, call the Children’s Department at 330-821-2665, ext. 223.
