Submitted by event_admin on Tue, 03/19/2013 - 8:48amA community spinning group meets at Rodman Public Library on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 9:30 a.m. in the main auditorium. The next meetings are scheduled for May 7, and May 21. Bring your fibers and wheel or spindle. Anyone who spins, or who wants to learn how, is invited to network and compare notes.
Please note that due to Election Day on May 7, the meeting will be held in the Children’s Programming Room.

Cool Chemistry Show
Submitted by event_admin on Wed, 03/13/2013 - 5:41pmJoin Sheryl Mason, Ph.D., a chemistry and biochemistry assistant professor at the University of Mount Union, and her general chemistry class at Rodman Library in the Children’s Program Room. As part of their college class experience, Mason’s chemistry students will present exciting and cool chemistry demonstrations to children such as ‘Dragon’s Breath’ and ‘Elephant’s Toothpaste’. Children will have fun with the chance of a hands-on opportunity to make slime while thinking like a scientist.

Patrons, ages birth through two years, and their parents or caregivers are invited to Wee Read, Monday evenings, May 6, 13 and 20, from 6:30-7:00 p.m. and Wednesday mornings, May 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29, from 10:30-11:00 a.m. There will be no Wee Read on May 27, as the library will be closed for Memorial Day.

Storytime AM Main Library

Patrons may attend Storytime at either location on Tuesday evenings, May. 7, 14, 21 and 28, from 6:30-7:15 p.m. or Thursday mornings, May 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30, from 10:30 -11:15 a.m. Rodman Main is located at 215 E. Broadway St., and Rodman Branch is located at 1808 West State St. in the Marketplace Plaza.
