Lego Splash

Children can use their imagination and build with Legos at Rodman Public Library when the Children’s Department hosts Lego Splash! The next summer Legos program takes place on Monday, July 6 & 20, from 9:30-10:30 a.m., in the Children’s Program Room. We provide the Lego and Duplo bricks, you provide the creations! The program is open to children of all ages. No registration is required. For more information, or if you would like to donate Lego or Duplo bricks to the library for these programs, stop by or call the Children’s Department at 330-821-2665, ext. 223.

Make a Superhero Costume-Take a picture with "The Legion of Literacy"

Open to children of all ages. Make and decorate your own Superhero mask and cape. Take a picture as you "fly through the sky" on our sky backdrop. Have your picture taken with the Rodman "Legion of Literacy" Superheroes. Registration requested but not required to allow for enough materials to have on hand. (jm)

William Powell and Clearview Golf Course

Renee Powell, LPGA member and daughter of William Powell, will talk about her father and his historic Clearview Golf Course in East Canton. A hightlight of the program will be a reading and discussion of the children's book about her father: "Twice as Good: the Story of William Powell and Clearview, the Only Golf Course Designed, Built, and Owned by an African American" written by Richard Michelson and illustrated by Eric Velasquez.
